How to Force COPY a GOOGLE DOC

HOW TO “FORCE COPY A GOOGLE DOC”
(Sharing a document where students can edit but keeping an original copy of your document.)
STEP 1:  Open your Google Drive
STEP 2:  Open the file you want to share
STEP 3:  Click on SHARE button located in the upper right hand corner of your screen
STEP 4:  Copy “link to share”
STEP 6:  Open another tab and paste it in the URL box
STEP 7:  Look for the word “edit” and change it to “copy”
STEP 8:  Share the new link, which will force the user to make a copy.
